You may utilize clonezilla to image a physical machine and then PXE
boot the virtualized hardware to restore the image.  However, if you
are looking to make any hefty adjustments to the target image, such as
Windows reconfiguration, you might want to check out VMware Converter
first -- but that is a proprietary tool.  I don't think you will have
an issue with what you are trying to accomplish and there are multiple
paths to a solution...
