Andrew, A system template in secondary storage shouldn't get expunged at all.
The command to download the template also creates a template.properties files which lives with the system vm template; /usr/lib64/cloud/common/scripts/storage/secondary/cloud-install-sys-tmplt -m /mnt/secondary -u http://download.cloud.com/templates/acton/acton-systemvm-02062012.qcow2.bz2 -h kvm -F The template ends up in SECSTORAGESERVERIP:/SECSTORAGEPATH/template/tmpl/1/3 When the CS tries to start the SSVMs is copies the templates across from secondary storage to the primary storage in the cluster the VM will start on. Are your primary and secondary storage shares mixed maybe? As a precaution, after downloading the template I chmod -R 777 * on everything in the share. But after the VM expunges, it deletes the system template. Then I get these errors. Thanks.
