No issues? I am curious, are you using VMFS as your primary storage?

FYI, I am running CS 4.0.1 on vcenter 5.1 and esxi 5.1 and so far I have had no
issues.
Would love to see the ability to add more than one nic and more than one IP to
an instance.

Thanks for the clarification Chip. You are right. QA is testing 4.1 code base
against Esxi 5.1.
However which version is vim51 going to be merged in to??

So I understand the issue Francois and Sudha.
Sudha is saying that the QA folks are testing the 4.1 code against VMware 5.1.
This relies on the fact that VMware allows for some forward compatibility of
their API. It's still using an older VMware SDK in the
4.1 branch.
However, the vim51 branch is an update to the version of the SDK that
CloudStack uses, and is a work-in-progress.
Frankly, testing either or both is probably helpful!

Sudha,
Did you port the code into the 4.1 branch, or we should stick with the
vim51_win8 branch for our tests?

Francois,
Also want to clarify that we test it from HA certification stand point by
running supported features and new features on the specified HV version.
But if you need additional validation, please do not hesitate to run
your tests. Always welcome testing efforts from community

Francois,
We are actually testing Esxi 5.1
Can you log a defect to see if someone can pick it up to get it fixed.
Chip,
Sorry for not bringing it up in the forum earlier. This is testing only effort
as we upgraded some of the HW. 4.1 code base has been used for this testing.
For 4.1 we can safely claim support for Esxi 5.1.
Thanks

VMware 5.1 support will, most likely, be in our next feature release
(probably 4.2.0, scheduled for July).
If you want to help with testing the vim51 branch, please do so!

Hi,
Do you guys plan to add the VMWare 5.1 SDK support in 4.1? I tested
with the
vim51 branch, but it seems I cannot add my cluster into CloudStack.
We would love to see that support soon :)
Thanks!
