Hi,

I think that should not matter whether you use ISCSI or NFS for primary storage
from the point of view of CloudStack.
It would deploy templates the same way I'd say.
In my test environment there is 5.1 since my last upgrade attempt from 3.0.2 to
4.0 (months ago).
I'm not sure if adding a new cluster is different in the later CS versions but
my CS 3.0.2 + Esxi 5.1 (upgrade from ESX4.1, pre-existing cluster) works just
fine.
After 4.1 -> 5.1 upgrade the only thing I needed to do is to merge the
Management and Storage VMK interfaces, than CS reconnected an started using the
upgraded cluster as normal.
All functions does work apart from I cannot deploy Win2012 nor Win8 vms as the
CS code does not understand those.
It always defaults back to "Other" but the windows vms will not work with
"Other" OS type setting.

Regards

Thanks for the precision Jake. We are trying to use VMFS with an iSCSI backend,
and we run into weird issues using 4.0.1. In fact, we are not able to spin any
VM using templates.

We will grab the 4.1 branch, and test it :) Like I said, we will log bugs in
the BTS in the process.
