Send out the NYTime article I posted today. Also, about 2 weeks ago, there was an article re Phoenix board of education. The new IT guy stated he had a limited budget. His mandate was to have one computer for every 5 students. Using MS, he could not afford this, but he inherited MS from the former IT person. He is now seriously looking into using Linux so kids can be educated properly. There are many articles posted on the Internet in just the last 30 days. I think the world has changed since August 2 when MS announced their new licencing scheme. Licensing 6. Look it up and you'll see. Also: I heard the U of Vic had to pay several million dollars in penalties a few years ago due to infringement of MS licencing. If you retreive that article and forward to the "powers that be at LCC" I think the shock factor should encourage them to reconsider.
