From the quote though, I'd tend to agree.  I've never used it, but Lindows seems to be an abuse of both Linux, and Windows, where the end user gets to run Windows applications on a free OS.  The best thing about it is fdisk...  :)
 
Linux needs to stand on it's own.  It's not going to advance very far if it's just seen as a windows emulator.  If people want to run Windows software, they SHOULD use Windows, and they should pay for it with their cash and their freedom.  Alternately, if they want to avoid giving up cash and freedom, then they should use Linux, and pay for it with their investment of time spent learning a new OS.
 
That's my (slightly biased) 2 cents.
