Hi all,

I am trying to setup my Handspring Visor Deluxe(USB cradle) in RH 8.0
and Gnome desktop.

The installation program is gnome-pilot, and tailing /var/log/messages
shows that it's going to the correct USB port and trying to communicate
with the Visor. After couple of mins, Visor reports "Could not
communicate with the desktop", and /var/log/messages reports
'diconnected from ttyUSB1'.

I was using this on Win98SE, with Handspring provided sync software and
desktop. While setting under gnome-pilot, I selected "I used sync
software with this before" and when this option failed, chose the other
option "I never used this unit to sync" (or something like that). In
both cases, no use.

There is already user info set on the Visor, but gnome-pilot fails to
retrieve the info.

All help is appreciated.
