Hey is anyone besides the Executive pumped about tonight's meeting? After having worked on them for quite a while I know that I am. This is one of the last few steps we have to take in order to gain our Society status. I am very excited.
I would personally like to thank Marcel and my wife for their valuable input during the drafting stages. Most importantly however I should thank CLUE whose Bylaws and Mission we based ours on. Also my fellow Executives who went through a grueling evening going over these horribly legal Bylaws. I hope we have a good turn out this evening. I suspect that it will be boring for those who are not interested in the administrative workings of our group. I offer my apology in advance to those people and a note that we will be back to business as usual next month. On a fun note, we have a few books to give away, the usual Linux Magazine (with an article by our very own President: Aaron Seigo, perhaps he'll sign it <grin>) We also have burned copies of Slackware (sorry forget the version offhand, it's recent though) and Mandrake 9.0 (discs 1 & 2) compliments of Jeff Clement. I will also be bringing Marcel's donated SAP material from the Distribution Library in case anyone wants to take a gander. Hope to see you all there.
