Haven't compiled 3.0.5 and Gentoo has not released KDE 3.0.5 yet - they have however fixed the security bugs found in KDE 3.0.4 and earlier. This appears to be the major change between 3.0.4/5 > I've heard a lot of good about SuSE and Gentoo lately, and am leaning > towards trying one of those. Updating software is extremely simple and they keep the majority of packages very up to date. Their update system is also a breeze to use. My only gripe with Gentoo is when they update one of their system packages and you have to go and modify 17 - 35 config files to import the changes. They do have a utility to make this slightly easier, but I think it still needs work. Good Luck Martin
