Red Hat, Connectiva, SCO Linux (thanks to United Linux), Debian and even 
Solaris are either all moving to support the LSB or are already there. hooray 
for progress!

the LSB isn't "done". they are working on covering areas that aren't 
adequately standardized in the current version, which is a lot of things. it 
isn't complete enough to be The Answer at this point, but it is a lot closer 
than we (the UNIX community) has ever been.

no thanks to people who keep saying we need to abandon the LSB because it 
sucks, of course.

exactly. support LSB compliant distros only and the world will be a better 
place in the future. well, maybe not the WORLD, but our servers at least ;-)
