Hi all, I've managed thus far to convert my wife's laptop from XP to Mandrake 9 with little hassle or pain, and she is really enjoying the look and feel of KDE along with Evolution as her PIM.
That being said, I wondered if any Suse users on the list could comment on the latest 8.1 distro. I downloaded the "live eval" CD and liked what I saw; including the logical groupings of admin tools etc. I've heard some really good things about Suse and am thinking that I may go that route for my own desktop instead of Mandrake or Gentoo. Once things slow down a little more at work I am planning on making it out to an actual CLUG meeting--honest! ;-) In the meantime, this list and all who contribute are appreciated. Thanks, Chris
