Hi First of all Happy new year :-) Your problem is that, some of the commands you went trying are internal. ie built into the shell (bash) in this case. This is not mandrake or even linux specific, it is general to the shell (in this case bash) that incorporates some basic commands. Wow Good Question to kick of the new year :-) Cheers Szemir
