Hello Clug talk,

Knonqueror is up and running fine, and when I hit Alt F2 and typed Kmail
it did not work. However, when I hit Alt F2 and typed kmail (all small
letters) it did work!

When I went to receive mail I got the message, "You need an account in
the network section of the settings in order to receive mail.

I am hooked up to the net through my nephew's server computer which acts
as a firewall and which is hooked up to an adsl modem. My nephew's
firewall computer is programmed in Red Hat linux and my computer has a
dual boot into windows and mandrake 8.1 linux. I can probably look at my
network settings in linux netscape and transfer them to my kmail
settings if I knew just what portions of the settings are network
settings, and how to fill them out.

I can not use kmail until I register in my network settings. Could
someone please tell me how to do this? I look forward to using kmail as
some of my email contains large volumes of HTML and sometimes gets
stalled. reading it as text in kmail would be so much simpler because I
could delete spam before it slows me down.

Also I do not know whether or not I have pretty good privacy software or
not. Should I change the setting to not use PGP? I saw that in my kmail
settings.

regards,

Michael Walters
