Linux is case sensitive

in kmail, go to the Settings menu and select Configure KMail

there is a Network tab. you will need to enter at least one SMTP server for 
sending and at least one incoming account (local spool, POP3 or IMAP) there.

you will also probably want to enter some info in the identity page.

Mandrake installs it by default (uses it to check signatures on packages you 
download)

no, keep the PGP settings. they are good. =) you may even want to create a PGP 
key for yourself and upload it to a keyserver, and then your messages can be 
signed and verifiable too =)
