well, i don't know what particular model you are using, but according to the
quickcam express driver website (http://qce-ga.sourceforge.net/) the labtec
cameras are supported by the quickcam driver.

a simple cronjob that [s]ftp's the new image to your webserver will do fine.

Does it matter that I would be using Shaw's web space?  It would not be my
own web server, although I have thought of the idea.  Using one of the old
486's I have floating around and then setting up a DMZ on my LAN.  But I
would still have to register a URL.  Don't really want to do that right now.

I don't have a huge amount of experience with Linux.  Not sure what a cron
jpob is and how to write one.  Just have my windows system up right now.
Would a cron work on that?  Maybe I am just not thinking right...brain just
isn't firing.

Yes.. they do.  www.cavycams.com or do a quick search...10 seconds on
google...LOL  :-)
