well, i don't know what particular model you are using, but according to the quickcam express driver website (http://qce-ga.sourceforge.net/) the labtec cameras are supported by the quickcam driver.
10 seconds on google. Thank you Aaron! Much appreciated! > * Any ideas on how I can broadcast this via a website so that I could > eventually build a piggy-cam? Any suggestions on ports that I may need to open or > anything else? a simple cronjob that [s]ftp's the new image to your webserver will do fine. Does it matter that I would be using Shaw's web space? It would not be my own web server, although I have thought of the idea. Using one of the old 486's I have floating around and then setting up a DMZ on my LAN. But I would still have to register a URL. Don't really want to do that right now. I don't have a huge amount of experience with Linux. Not sure what a cron jpob is and how to write one. Just have my windows system up right now. Would a cron work on that? Maybe I am just not thinking right...brain just isn't firing. do people actually watch guinee pigs on the 'net?! Yes.. they do. www.cavycams.com or do a quick search...10 seconds on google...LOL :-)
