Here's a suggestion I once happened across.  I don't remember where I saw it
(somewhere on the web), but the concept is pretty straight forward (provided
you have access to both a Windows box and an IMAP account):

- Set up an IMAP account in Outlook.
- Copy all your email from the local folders to the folders on the IMAP
server.
- Set up an IMAP account in your MUA of choice under Linux.
- Copy all your email from the IMAP folders to your local Linux folders.
- Wave a happy buh-bye to Outlook.  :-)
