AccPac DEFINITELY run's on a Linux server.  The Linux box can run DB2, Pervasive, or Oracle.  Surprisingly, DB2 is the least Expensive.  IBM has (or had) a wicked deal on if you were buying DB2 for Linux.

Windows is MUCH more expensive, and they confided to us that there were some "issues" if the database grew extremely large.  They didn't recommend Pervasive in a large install either.

This may have changed but another problem with AccPac is that according to what we where told last year is that it is only a Linux client and that you need an M$ server to run the full corporate version. That may have changed but our inquirers about such a thing are going unanswered by AccPac.

AppGen does not require any M$ systems to run the full corporate version. Not on the server and not on the desktop.

That's good to see, but;

AccPac already has a Linux version.
