This solution may sound like it has a lot of overhead work in it but in my
opinion it's the best way to do this and attachments should go through
properly.  Setup an IMAP/POP3 server on one of your linux machines (most
distros come with those servers preconfigured and the default config
should be good enough for this) and create an account.  Add this account
to outlook and copy (not move, in case something bad happens) all your
email from outlook to the IMAP inbox folder.  Once that is done, connect
kmail to the same IMAP/POP3 server you used in outlook using POP3 and
download all the email from the mail server.  That should get you going
with the least hassle.  Once that is done you can remove those accounts
you had just created from both outlook and kmail.  Let me know if you need
