have you tried kmailcvt? it comes w/kmail. export your outlook folders (make 
sure they are exported as outlook express v4 or v5 files; outlook gives you 
this option when exporting), copy them to your linux system, and run 
kmailcvt.

i've done this a few times now and it works quite well.
