I think you have a great idea, we just need the manpower. If anyone on
this list is working on this type of thing, speak up and maybe we can
help each other out. The ftp part may also be a bit of a problem so if
anyone knows of any space we could use that would be great. 
My MDK rpms are in the planning stage (ie. I just came up with the idea
a couple hours ago) and I'm not even sure if it will work. However if I
do get working packages I would like to distribute them to interested
parties. I was thinking of burning off cds and/or setting up an irc
fileserver (just because I had one going but I don't have any use for
it). If we had a couple fileservers running on #clug we could spread the
load and limit the bandwidth a bit (and prove that fserves are for more
than just warez).
The thing is that if we don't have people stepping up to the plate then
something like this would fail, but it would be real cool if there were
people interesting in teaming up.
