Hi Michael, I don't use Mandrake but I have some thoughts. I have not yet seen a mozilla build that doesn't support strong 128bit encryption. I'm sure such a beast can exist but I wouldn't imagine it would come as part of a distro. I would suspect the problem isn't so much the strength / type of encryption your browser supports but more the fact that it is Mozilla and not Internet Explorer.
My first guess would be to double check that both Javascript and Cookies are enabled. Some sites make heavy use of these especially for things like the login mechanism. If that fails I would bet that the bank website is doing something wierd that just doesn't work with Mozilla. In which case you are probably out of luck.
