I want one!

Not sure that contributes to the discussion a whole lot, but it's the truth.

Subject: (clug-talk) Linux Tablet PC

I don't know yet if I want a Tablet PC, but I'm interested enough to follow
some on the news about them. I know I don't want a Tablet PC encumbered by
Microsoft, but now there is news about one with Linux, from Hitachi:-

http://siliconvalley.internet.com/news/article.php/2168241

It looks like they intend it for specialised vertical markets, but that does

not mean they can't or won't make it generally available.
Its 400 MHx processor seems rather slow by current standards, but it's a
Transmeta Crusoe, and I don't know how that compares with Intel or AMD
products for performance.

I never had a Hitachi PC, didn't know they were in the business, but I have
had some other Hitachi gear (Audio, TV etc) and been impressed by their
quality.
