I'd suggest that before we look for volunteers, we set up a standardized
list of expectations. I had started one. My reasoning is like this.
Amount of time to get a complete presentation together? 10 hrs+
Amount of time to get a preplanned presentation together? 2 hrs maybe.
If we can make a list of things that are important in a distro (any distro)
then we do 2 things.
1) We have a consistent comparison between distros.
2) We greatly simplify the task of giving a "distro demo" presentation.
Some things to see would be...
> > Install a new package.
> > Update an existing package.
> > Find which packages are out of date.
> > Presenter's favorite feature of this distro.
> > Top Item on the Presenter's wish list for the distro.
> > Where to go for help - Forum, IRC, etc.
> > ???
They should be broad, but also allow for some uniqueness. For example:
IPcop needs updates the same as RH, but the method is TOTALLY different.
