Hey All,

Well we pulled off another successful InstallFest. It appears we sent some
folks home with fresh installs of Mandrake and SuSE. I think we answered some
good questions along the way too.

Many thanks to Nexus for hosting us yet again. Thanks go specifically to
Kevin, Stephen and not least of all Joe at Nexus. They were very patient and
very helpful. I got a coffee when I really needed it from Kevin.

Thanks to the volunteers. For me, Hasan, Dan, Graham, and Irvin were
particularly helpful. We had several folks helping out during the course of
the day I'm sorry if I haven't named you specifically but your help was most
appreciated.

Special thanks go to Johnny Stork for the use of a computer that we used for
burning a few disks, Rob Lewko brought another machine that we used for
burning. Jason Fraser for the use of his switch (we eventually worked out the
network issues, I'm not sure how many people actually hooked in but we did
have connectivity thanks to Nexus). Shawn Grover lent us his monitor and
keyboard. Hasan lent us some cables and a second switch. Kari and I donated a
gateway and a mouse to the cause aside from our time.

I met a bunch of new folks and Kari did some networking. We had a lady from
IBM there who had some very positive things to say about CLUG and what we
have been doing lately. I believe we had some folks from ReCompute there. I
spoke with several people on Saturday who had some very encouraging things to
say about CLUG and InstallFests in general.

The Executive was well represented as well, Marcel, Dave, Dan, Kari and I were
there. Jeff passed along his regrets for not being able to attend but having
a new baby, he is excused... : )

Graham, is working on VFXWeb for our next InstallFest. We are hoping to have
something arranged within the next few months.
