Hi all,
My deepest gratitude to all the great people that were there at the last
install fest. I got lots of help and pushes in different directions and
for being my first Clug event I was very impressed.
I managed to get a copy of "Cluggix 2.0" with me home and installed it.
Now my printer was included in the setup and most stuff was easy to go
through.
However, I have a problem with KPackage that I can not get rid of. I
wanted to install AMSN (Al's Messenger) and when KPackage opened it
froze immedately. I tried to close it and to log out and restart the
machine, but it won't close and KDE restores the session every time, so
it comes back and sits there. I can minimize it, but in the process of
messing with it I have tried to open other packages, or just KPackage on
its own, and now I have four frozen instances of it sitting in the task
bar...
Are there any suggestions? Can I start X-windows without restoring the
session? Is there a way to extract the KPackage from the CD so I can try
to reinstall it? I just tried downloading KPackage to reinstall it, but
it was a package and so it opened up a fifth instance, this is turning
into a circus.... :-)
Any suggestions are appreciated...
