Hi Jeff, I know I need pysqlite, in fact I tried installing that first (In Windows, PySqlite is statically linked with sqlite so it's all you need) Thanks for the response. I'll try libreadline on Friday, my brain is too frazzled to get into that tonight. BTW I'm trying to port my PythonCard/sqlite app to Linux for a tech prezzy.
