It's a little strange. I've now stopped receiving those errors in my log
watch reports. Fortunately no data resides on the server. It uses
sendmail as an e-mail forwarding service, so no mailboxes are actually
stored on the server. It is also setup as an ftp server, but all the
data is shared out through NFS from my main workstation. If the drive
goes it would just mean time to set it up again, and loss of service. I
cannot afford a new drive right now, but I may get one soon and then try
to figure out how to either transfer the partition table, or create
images of the partitions and save them to the second drive just in case
this one goes.
