That's an appropriate suggestion, Marcel. Thanks. I went with SuSE 8.2 Personal, and offered to install Spanish support with that, but he preferred English, as that will encourage him in his learning-English tasks, which he really needs to prosper in his new environment. We'll install Spanish for his private/personal activities later. We got SuSE installed, then ran into a problem with his Telus DSL account, so we're not quite done yet, but it's going well. Thanks to all who responded so rapidly. Peter looks like he'll be a great resource, and I'm getting them connected.
