Hmmm...now I don't know what to do? I do have a book on JDBC but never taken a look at it. I would assume it is java based databases? If so...is it hard to learn? I have thought about trying to learn java.. just for fun and maybe I could a couple things at the same time.
Also...with regards to databases again...what kind of tools do I need to actually create the databases. And where do I store them?
Sorry for all the bone-headed questions, but...just don't know.

databases, so I should likely go that way. I am still looking at PostGre as it seems to be more Oracle like, but I can't see that OOo supports Postgre as a data source.
postgres has both ODBC and JDBC drivers, and OOo talks both ODBC and JDBC. so yes, you can use them together.
also, it's postgres, not postgre. just like it's Cameron, not Camero ;-)
I am just wondering if anyone could confirm that my hypothesis is true. Also, I am looking for some MySQL administration tools, specifically right now for creating tables, forms, etc., but also additional tools that others might suggest.
