I have had constant problems with Telus business Internet packages, but
have never used their home service, so can't comment on that. With Telus
business I have experienced greater than average server downtime,
regularly can't connect to SMTP and POP servers, regularly have to reset
connections and modems.
The time I knew for sure I had to switch from Telus was when I called
their "help" line and in under 5 minutes the "help" was asking me how to
fix the problem that I had called them about.
For DSL, I have switched business accounts for one client to Nucleus.
For my home office setup I have used Shaw for 4+ years and can count on
one hand the number of times that I have had difficulty accessing my
account, mail servers, etc. Two of those times were when they were in
the midst of changing servers and had warned that they would be
experiencing outages.
