Ian, thanks for the info - I may need it soon! I looked at netBSD and it's doesn't 
support this model either since it's not Open Firmware. I ran
across http://slackintosh.exploits.org/ which is based on my beloved slackware! I have 
some more reading to do on it but it looks promising.

| There used to be (and hopefully still is) a used software store in an old red

| Center St. if you know where that is.  The name starts with an R but I forget
| what it is - maybe Replay Software or something like that.  Depending on what
| version of MacOS you're looking for, you might luck out and find it there.
