okay so the line in my grub conf is
kernel /vmlinuz-2.4.20-20.8 ro root=LABEL=/ hdc=ide-scsi
so I can just hack off the "hdc=ide-scsi" and that should do it right? my cd-rom will still be detected, right?

I used to have a burner in my RH8 system but don't anymore, I had a line
in the grub boot file that told my system it was there, now I want to take
that line out but I don't remember what the file was called, not quite
noob but close. any suggestions?
