Found my problem after some googleing, it seems that capacitors on mobo's buldge/leak sometimes, who knew<shrug>? In my case one of them had and the mobo was exhibiting all the signs that I was reading about, I'm taking it back to memory express and they are going to replace it hopefully.

Hey

Is there a way to test a cpu and find out if its messed up? I'm having
trouble with a Socket A Gigabyte mobo and trying to trouble shoot it. We
know that the onboard video is messed and have put a agp vid card in.

Thanx, Evan Brown

What do you think is messed up about it? In the past when I've had troubles
with CPUs I generally clock them back a step or two and see what that does.
I had, at one time, an AMD 1.4 GHz system that was flakey, but clocking it
back to 1.33 cleared things up. Dunno if that helps, but it's something you
could try.
