modprobe ntfs didn't seem to work. I typed it in and no errors came up, but trying to mount the drive gave the same error again. What is the 'easy way' to compile the module?

NTFS Kernel support is still 'experimental' and hence wont be included in [most] stock distro kernels. Try

#modprobe ntfs

if modprobe succeeds, you'll be able to mount the partition, if not, let me know and Ill tell you how to compile the module the 'easy' way.

How do I go about mounting an NTFS drive in Redhat 9? I tried but it
says "mount: fs type ntfs not supported by kernel". Any suggestions?
