Peter, Thanks for the reply. I don't think the problem is with the Lilo installation, as I have reinstalled it a couple of times, and I also tried reinstalling it from the rescue mode on the Mandrake CD. I also get a read error from Grub, and it won't even load at all. I don't seem to get any errors when I install Lilo, here is the output from the command you gave me:
> [EMAIL PROTECTED] jesse]# /sbin/lilo -i -L -S -t -v > LILO version 22.5.7.2, Copyright (C) 1992-1998 Werner Almesberger > Development beyond version 21 Copyright (C) 1999-2003 John Coffman > Released 20-Aug-2003, and compiled at 16:45:54 on Sep 18 2003 > > Reading boot sector from /dev/hda > Using GRAPHIC secondary loader > Calling map_insert_data > Mapping message file /boot/message -> message-graphic > Calling map_insert_file > > Boot image: /boot/vmlinuz-enterprise -> vmlinuz-2.4.22-10mdkenterprise > Mapping RAM disk /boot/initrd-enterprise.img -> initrd-2.4.22-10mdkenterprise.img > Added linux-enterpris * > > Boot image: /boot/vmlinuz -> vmlinuz-2.4.22-10mdk > Mapping RAM disk /boot/initrd.img -> initrd-2.4.22-10mdk.img > Added linux > > Boot image: /boot/vmlinuz -> vmlinuz-2.4.22-10mdk > Mapping RAM disk /boot/initrd.img -> initrd-2.4.22-10mdk.img > Added linux-nonfb > > Boot image: /boot/vmlinuz -> vmlinuz-2.4.22-10mdk > Mapping RAM disk /boot/initrd.img -> initrd-2.4.22-10mdk.img > Added failsafe > > Boot other: /dev/fd0, loader CHAIN > Pseudo partition start: 0 > Added floppy > > Writing boot sector. > Backup copy of boot sector in -t.0300 The other thing that I don't understand is why Mandrake 9.2 ships with two standard kernels. I'm not sure what the difference is between the two kernels, but the enterprise kernel does not load the graphical boot, and the "linux" kernel does not seem to read the settings from my XF86Config-4 file.
