I'll give that a try, and I agree it's a strange problem.

At first I didn't, I just enabled RedStorm Overclocking, but it seems to
have altered other settings as well besides the processor voltage and
frequency. During my troubleshooting I reset everything to optimized
defaults. That's part of the reason that I want to upgrade the bios,
because this chip did not come with the mobo and I'm oping that the
latest version might have better support for it.
