I haven't done a lot of research on this yet, but so far I haven't found anything pertinent so if anyone has any ideas I would love to hear them.
When wine is invoked from the console: $ wine <executable> Killed It happens instantaneously. I copied my config file fr. a backup I had working before Christmas. It's pretty custom but I can't think what in the config would be causing it. Other variables include having first installed a user-created Slackware package (that did the same thing, so I removed the package). WINE has previously worked (compiled by hand)... I wonder if there's some cruft left over from a previous install? Could that do it? If so, any ideas what?
