Here are my suggestions for you: I don't think that you can install an older version of glibc along side with a newer version. I would give up trying that, but don't worry because there are a number of other things you can do to get WP going.
1) You could use an emulator like VMWare (expensive) or Bochs (free) to run an older version of Linux within RedHat 8.0. Or you could dual-boot your system. I would recommend trying an older version of RedHat, or even Corel Linux 2, as you probably won't have any problems running it there. Check the distribution library to see if there are any old distros. floating around. You could also run Windows under VMWare or Win4Lin and run the latest version. 2) You could try to run the latest version under Wine, or a variant of Wine like Crossover Office. Since the old WP for Linux was just the Windows version running under Wine, you probably won't have troubles getting some version working. I think that cxoffice may even officially support WP. 3) You could run an old DOS version under either DSOBox, DOSEmu, or Bochs. Good luck, Jesse _______________________________________________ clug-talk mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://clug.ca/mailman/listinfo/clug-talk_clug.ca
