look at $KDEHOME/.kde/share/config/ksmserverrc (where $KDEHOME is usually 
~/.kde) ... ksmserver is the "KDE session manager server" and is responsible 
for recording your session and starting it again later... you should see 
entries for the offending programs there...

also look in your $KDEHOME/share/config/session directory  .. you should see a 
bunch of files there, and probably ones for the apps you mention as well ... 

the easiest ways to get rid of them are to either just kill the process before 
logging out (therefore altering the session) or else hand editting the 
ksmserver files...
