Mandrake provides downloads to Mandrake 10 beta / RC right off their site without having to be a "club" member (http://www.mandrakelinux.com/en/100beta.php3). This has been the case for at least a month now.
A lot of people like the Mandrake Club because it is a way to give back to a company that has provided a lot to the community. If you enjoy Mandrake I would certainly suggest looking at the Mandrake club.
I will say again though, you can download Mandrake 10 BETA / RC straight from Mandrakes site, and from mirrors, without having to be a club member. To the best of my knowledge this is perfectly legal. If you learn otherwise please let me know.

The beta of Mandrake 10 has been up now for quite a while. On February 3rd 2004 mention was made of it on the popular tech news site Osnews.com.

Anyway,
Hope that sheds some light on the whole thing.

First of all, where did you get it from? Are you a club member, or do you know where I can d/l MDK10? Secondly, what do you mean the mail clients didn't download? I assume you downloaded iso images, in which can everything should be on the cd's. You can to an md5sum against the cd's because if they are corrupted then there are probably more things that are broken than just the mail clients. As was said before, try to find evolution on the install cd's. If you did not choose to install Gnome during the initial installation, then it probably would not have installed Evolution.

This is because MDK10 community just came out a couple days ago, and the public version won't be released 'till the end of the month. Ximian is very slow getting their software out for new systems, I wouldn't be suprised if you had to wait a couple of months before you can install evo through RC. Best bet is to install someone elses package. As MDK10 was just released your best bet is to use the version of the installation media, or d/l from Mandrake Club.
