I have a really annoying problem with SuSE 9 and KDE (I'm assuming it's 3.1.4 since I can't read dots). The SuSE splash screen displays fonts normally, but the desktop and menu fonts are insanely small. I only know how to get to the font control panel right now and I've found that if I increase the general font size to 100 (huge, normally) the desktop and menu item things show up like they should if I set the size to 12.
There's two questions here: (1) Why are the fonts being scaled like this? and (2) How do I get them to show "normally"? The current graphics card is an ATI 3D Rage 2+. I also have a picture (pretty crappy) at http://members.shaw.ca/kkube/SuSE-fontsizes.jpg
