If you're running Debian Woody (stable), go into /etc/sources.list and change woody or stable to sarge or testing, then: apt-get update apt-get dist-upgrade Hope you've a fast connection. :-) However, you'd be best off reading some introductory Debian documentation first. Most people (wrongly) think Woody/stable is hopelessly behind the times, and Debian unstable == Redhat/SuSE/Mandrake, or worse. -- Any technology distinguishable from magic is insufficiently advanced.
