ProFTPD should compile no problem. It's also the one FTP daemon I
recommend using if FTP has to be used at all.
What would you use as an alternative? I know about SFTP, and, I must
admit, this would be my utility of choice, because (to my knowledge) it
only requires the SSH daemon.
