for pages that exist at new URLs you could do: RedirectPermanent /a/b/c.html http://www.my.com/x/y/z.html apache docs here: http://httpd.apache.org/docs-2.0/mod/mod_alias.html there is also mod_rewrite which allows more powerful/flexible client redirection.
