What's important is what's in the kernel .config file.  I've a PIII,
so I've set CONFIG_MPENTIUMIII=y.  I don't know about RH, but Debian's
are packaged for any one of PPro/Celeron/PII/PIII/PIV for this
architecture.  Speaking of which, type "arch".  That says i686 on my
box.
