Hi Shawn.
Congratulations on your linux install. Mdk is a very good distro for desktop. 
But i see you arrived at the conclusion yourself.
I would check, if the router has the correct settings for the dns servers it 
uses for resolving requests. Sometimes a (wrong) information is posted there. 
To be absolutle sure:
dig [EMAIL PROTECTED]

This should render the ip adress and other information if that dns server 
before the @ char is a working one. If not. Well you just found the problem. 

Check the first (primary) dns first, then check the secondery etc...
