UPDATE!!!

I went to Staples tonight and picked a 256MB SanDisk Cruzer Mini drive.
Also took my Suse 9 live eval disk with me to make sure it works in linux.
Walked right over to a gorgeous Sony Vaio, rebooted and up it came no
problem.  Slapped the dive into a usb port and up it came.

I did check the properties and apparently it is a FAT file system and
actually registers as 245 MB.  Thanks for the help with this tuff guys.  I
am trying to figure out exactly what I want to do with it, but have lots of
time for that.
