Well, Bill, aren't you going to tell us about cdecl, and point us to a source? I haven't seen it for years, and would love to find it again. I remember it was quite fun to see how baroque and confusing one could make a declaration. Maybe it could be a learning tool for those here wanting to learn 'C'.
