Probably correct. Besides, if say 20 Shell franchises go under you can't tell 
me they aren't going to notice. As for the franchise owner, it sucks, but 
that's business. In small towns small 'general store' gas stations that have 
been there for years go under when the big boys move in if the town grows. Do 
they care?

My concern is if these companies are 'allied' they may transfer funds to keep 
those taking a hit afloat.

My opinion is that you're ignorant not to TRY. If it doesnt work you've lost 
nothing. 'The only thing evil needs to flourish is for good people to do 
nothing'.
