A quick Google brings back the following:

"Start X with 'xinit -T' to disable ctrl-alt-backspace from stopping X."

http://www.faqs.org/faqs/aix-faq/part2/section-34.html

and

"The ctrl-alt-backspace behaviour can be set in the /etc/X11/XF86Config (or
/etc/X11/XF86Config-4) by inserting

Section "ServerFlags"
 Option "DontZap"
EndSection

If that section already exists, just add the Option line. Now X shouldn't exit
on the combination anymore."
